Moment Villa (Moment Villa)

Bring your own food and drink and a bunch of friends/ families and you'll have this resort to yourselves! Long clean beach and a nice medium sized pool. Three bedroom houses were simple and great. Not for the five star experience, but for folks who like a house over a room and a good clean beach. Kitchen food is super simple, but good. Had a great Thai wedding here!

I had my reservations about staying here because of the lack of reviews, however my friends had already booked it and they operate a no refunds policy. We booked the largest suite room and were given the best view in the top floor, however to my dismay there were no lifts, so we had to carry our luggage up to the fourth floor (3rd floor in Thai). The room was large and spacious however it was missing most of the basic amenities you would expect of a 3 star hotel. There was no kettle or toiletries, and the tap in the main bathroom has no water pressure beyond a continuous drip. The wet room was good, so I just washed my hands in the shower. The swimming pool area and the central lounge were very good, very scenic to chill out for drinks, but the restaurant was unable for meals. Fortunately there are a lot of restaurants close by if you have a car. Breakfast consisted of fried eggs, sausages, toast with condiments, assortment of hot and cold drinks, and mince pork congee. No shaver plug in the bathroom, only a couple of towels each room. The villas were spacious but the kitchen was void of any cooking equipment. Seemed like they have very large open spaces but I think it was just missing furniture. Not enough sofas or chairs to seat 3 couples. It's not the worst hotel, but for the amount of money we paid, we could have stayed in a 4 or 5 star hotel in the centre of Bangkok. It's near a key location, close to the pier if you're traveling to Koh Samet so hopefully they can improve and take advantage of the that.
